Virginia's Cough, a 4-man Doom outfit, is back with their 2nd full-length, Ritual Abuse. The album's overall sound is pretty typical of stoner doom, but it's overall quality isn't quite as typical. The vocals go back and forth between a more traditional stoner doom style, and a pained clean style. Definitely worth a shot for any fan of the genre.

Starting a fresh new blog is always hard because it's a blank slate and the posts are going to seem very random for awhile until I set up a base. This album has no problems straying away from the traditional black metal formula with whatever they see fit including lots of kick ass heavy metal riffage. Also included on this edition is a GG Allin cover which just never hurts. It friggen rules.
