This is the amazing follow up to the 2011 full length "The Path of Liberation From Birth and Death" from this miraculous hard-working duo Njiqahdda. They are giving this out for free from their bandcamp and you can order yourself a copy from EEE recordings.
# As an update after 7 listens, I can say it's gonna be tough to touch this one for AOTY. Absolutely fantastic.

We are going back in time to 1998 when three guys from Mexico released the last Death Metal masterpiece of that era. The Chasm released "Deathcult" and the genre of death metal was changed forever- dabbling with black metal vocals, riffs after riffs, harmonies, melodies and an depressive atmosphere. If there were a genre called DSDM ( Depressive Death Metal) - The Chasm would be at the top. This is one release where you just don't listen to one track - you have to absorb it. Got an hour to spare.. check it out.

Chicago's " Cult Of Daath" is a mid-paced old school black metal trip through blasphemy and depravity. You can hear the band's influences throughout mostly in the vein of Dark Throne- but these guys can create memorable riffs and catchy lyrics that make the whole trip worth taking. It will very hard to find something to fault on this release and has the capacity for repeated listens. Check it out

Fucking Chicago. Has anyone else noticed that the whole Chicago area is making some downright amazing music lately? Murmur hits me hard because I just love raw black metal mixed with lots of ugly distortion and noise. You listen to this and you think to yourself, "something's gotta give". This shit will destroy the universe.
